Practical information before Departure
Visa: Obligatory and easy to obtain. Just go to the Embassy of Togo in your country to apply for a visa ( tourist Visa of 3 months maximum). Those who do not do their visa in their country can do it once in Togo . In addition to volunteers who wish to go into the neighboring countries of Togo , they can apply for a visa of the Board of the Agreement. This will allow them to move within five ( 05) countries ( Togo , Benin , Burkina Faso, Niger , Côte d' Ivoire) without much hassle with customs at boarders.
Health: To be vaccinated . The vaccine against yellow fever is mandatory that of typhoid fever is optional , so are hepatitis A and B. A treatment against malaria is highly recommended. Do not forget your mosquito nets, your mosquito ointments and sunglasses.
Transport: There should be between 500 and 1000 € for a round-trip ticket depending on the company . Tickets are cheaper when they are purchased early, it is surer to get a reservation at the right time .
Insurance : By purchasing your ticket, you will be offered repatriation insurance and it will be desirable to subscribe . There is also that of disease that should not be overlooked.
